The location speaks for itself, right at the base of Pico del Teide, and at the heart of a significant number of the incredible volcano walking routes. Every direction you look is like a singularly unique oil painting every time. The views are staggering. Both the cafe for hotel guests and the restaurant are superb, and actually very good value for money. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, with a delightful wine pairing. Also, the coffee was remarkably good. The staff were polite and helpful (not just at reception, but the serving and cleaning staff also) When you stay at this hotel, you have access to both saunas AND a swimming pool (with a perfect view of Teide while you swim) free of charge. The pool is perfectly heated, and the facilities were clean, fully functional, and ideal. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay while hiking and photographing Pico del Teide, this is the obvious and ideal choice.

The location is amazing with stunning views of Teide. The staff team were exceptional, from a very warm welcome and smooth check-in, through a lovely bar service to an attentive and helpful dinner and breakfast service, every member of the team went above and beyond. The rooms are a decent size and offer everything you could need, including very comfy beds to rest those aching limbs after walking in the National Park. They are older styled rooms but in-keeping with the hotel and, in our view, only the bathroom would benefit from some modernisation. The communal spaces are lovely with comfy seating and open fires. The terrace offers amazing views of Teide. Based on other reviews, we weren’t sure what to expect from the restaurant but the food we had was exceptional - local dishes beautifully prepared and presented. We would happily stay here again but next time it will be for more than one night!

Everything was fantastic. The staff, extremely helpful and courteous. Room fantastic with stunning view of mt Teide. It is in an incredible location surrounded by stunning geological features. Beautiful lobby, bar and dining room. We had read some negative reports about the hotel being a bit dark and old fashioned but we didn't find it so. A very stylish place. Very quiet after the noise in Los Gigantes. Fantastic that they have a private residents carpark with an entry barrier and this was essential, as it is right next to a major tourist site with hundreds of cars and thousands of tourists but you see and hear none of them in the hotel. Would definitely recommend and go back.

This felt like a human settlement on a moon. We decided to treat ourselves with two nights in this hotel and it was exactly as pampering as I hoped. Enormous comfortable bed, clean rooms, nice small swimming pool and sauna. Delicious breakfast choices. With a view of Teide on top. Really charming place. If you are not familiar with the concept of “Paradores”, I recommend reading something about it online. It is fascinating project of the Spanish government, dating almost 100 years back.

the room was clean and comfortable although my husband found the bed a bit firm for him. The location was as expected, we went with intention of star gazing at night, the free car park was a bonus. The reception staff, bar and restaurant staff were all lovely and super efficient. We were disappointed that the TV had no English channels.
